Unified Development Code
Following adoption of an updated Comprehensive Plan in 2011, City staff began a much-needed update of the City's development codes.
Zoning regulations determine what types of structures and uses are allowed to be placed in various areas of the community. As part of a complete overhaul of the City's development regulations, revisions are being proposed to the characteristics of residential, commercial, business and industrial zones.
Substantial amendments are being proposed to existing zoning and subdivision codes. Please review the draft sections listed and direct any questions or comments to Brett Lucas, Senior Planner, at 498-9221.
See the draft text which was proposed for a new Unified Development Code. As sections of the code are presented to the Planning Commission, and to the public, they will be posted on the City's Code Update Project Overview page. Comments are welcome at any stage. Comments or questions may be directed to Brett Lucas, Senior Planner.
