Jedermann Gran Fondo
When:8:00 am - 6:30 pm Saturday, July 21, 2012
Where: Ending in Cheney
A Gran Fondo is a timed, recreational ride or event. ln Europe, timed recreational events have been around for decades and each country has a different name for these types of rides. ln Germany, they are called Jedermann Rennen, or "Everyone's Race". ln ltaly, they call them Gran Fondo's which translates to "Great Ride". Our Jedermann Gran Fondo literally means, "Everyone's Great Ride". We've named it this because this course can be ridden by everyone and it really is a GREAT ride. Open roads and very little traffic, this course is a cyclists dream. With food/aid stations in Sprague, Tokio, Harrington and Edwall, the Cheney finish will be a welcome site for all riders. This particular course is 112 miles, not particularly difficult, and can be ridden by many. We've also got a 2 person relay team option. Two riders will actually split the distance and trade off timing chips and numbers near the halfway point. lf you aren't quite ready for the full 112 miles, you can certainly challenge yourself with the 50+ miles as a relay team.
Enter as an individual or a 2-person Relay Team. This is a fully supported ride with mechanical support, awesome food stops and each entry includes a gourmet post race meal, beverages, t-shirt, custom medal, music, and chances for raffle prizes.
