Cheney Fire Department is responsible for fire protection, emergency medical services, fire prevention, public education, emergency planning and code enforcement.
Cheney Fire is a combination career/volunteer department which provides full service fire protection, fire prevention, hazardous materials response, rescue, and emergency medical services to over 11,000 residents. The department responds to approximately 1,400 calls annually out of one station.
We are a combination department with twenty part paid volunteers, six residents, nine full-time line firefighters and two full-time administrative staff. We have one station that houses two engines, one pumper/ladder truck, medical unit, support unit and one brush truck.
