Hiring Procedure

The City of Cheney Employment Division seeks to hire the best qualified candidates for open positions. 

Applications will be reviewed for completeness and qualifications for the position.  Selected candidates will be called for interviews and will be required to provide proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States. Upon an offer of employment, applicants must undergo a fitness for duty physical examination including drug testing.

The City of Cheney is a tobacco-free, drug-free workplace. Applicants required to carry Commercial Driver's License endorsements must agree to DOT random drug testing.
