General Policies: All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Due to the 4.75% utility tax all City residents will have a discount price on most programs by showing proof of residency. This can be done by bringing a copy of your utility bill that list the tax on the bottom. Space is limited with all programs; we encourage everyone to register in advance to ensure enrollment. Discounts will not be given in times of missed classes because of vacations or illnesses. The Cheney Recreation Department reserves the right to make changes in schedules, fees, and instructors without notice. We also reserve the right to cancel or combine classes if minimum registrations are not met. Refund Policy: Minimum levels of enrollment are required before we have the ability to offer a class. If a class or program is cancelled due to a lack of enrollment, you will be notified and offered a full refund or credit (your choice). Credits may be applied to future programs offered through the department. All refunds must be requested at least 48 hours prior to the start of each class or program date. ** A service charge of $5.00 will be deducted for refunds granted prior to the beginning of an activity. No service charge will be levied if the full registration fee is transferred to another open activity due to medical reasons. Refund checks take approximately 10 working days to process and are mailed to the payee. ADA/Inclusion Policy: The City of Cheney is committed to providing programs and services accessible to individuals with disabilities. Requests for special accommodations will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact the Recreation Department at 498-9250 at least seven working days prior to the program start date for special need requests. Cheney Outreach: Recreation program scholarships are available through Cheney outreach. For information call 235-8900. Resident and income guidelines do apply. Call the Cheney Recreation Department for more information… 498-9250.
