The Cheney Streets and Transportation Division is responsible for maintaining more than 40 miles of residential and arterial streets throughout the City.  The primary maintenance duties entail sweeping, snow and ice removal, roadway repair, traffic signage, and storm drainage.  

In addition to routine maintenance, the Cheney Streets and Transportation Division is also responsible for planning, financing and contracting for major street improvements.  In most instances, this shall entail street restoration, but when necessary, this will also include street reconstruction or construction of new streets to accommodate increased traffic loads.
