The City of Cheney responds to public records requests in accordance with the City's Public Records Policy and the Public Records Act (PRA), RCW 42.56.

Requesting Records

Use our Public Records Center to create and track public records requests, download records, view trending topics, see previously released records, and browse frequently asked questions.  All requests must be submitted to the Public Records Officer, Cathy Munoz.   Click here to make an online payment for public records. 
The Public Records Officer:

• Oversees the City's compliance with the Public Records Act
• Provides the fullest assistance to requestors
• Provides timely and efficient action on requests
• Fulfills requests without excessive interference with City business

Record Availability

Public records are available for copying and viewing during normal business hours, excluding legal holidays. Requestors will not remove documents from the viewing area or disassemble or alter any document.
