About the Department

Cheney Fire is a combination career/volunteer department which provides full service fire protection, fire prevention, hazardous materials response, rescue, and emergency medical services to over 11,000 residents. The department responds to approximately 1,461calls annually out of one station.

Employees & Equipment

We are a combination department with part paid volunteers, 4 residents, 9 full-time line firefighters and 2 full-time administrative staff. We have 1 station that houses 2 engines, 1 pumper/ladder truck, medical unit, support unit and 1 brush truck.
