Divisions

Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is the largest and most visible division of the police department. Patrol is responsible for providing police services to the community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Communications Division

The City of Cheney's Emergency Communications Center is a certified Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for 911 emergency calls. The professional men and women of the Emergency Communications Department are trained, compassionate individuals who serve our citizens with pride and distinction.

Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement is the principal investigator of problem properties throughout the city and will enforce City ordinances. The point of contact is Rick Campbell

Criminal Investigations

The Cheney Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for all investigations that require additional time or specialized training than what is available to members of the Patrol Division. The Criminal Investigation Division also oversees the handling and storage of agency evidence, including release of property. To obtain property that is currently being held at the Cheney Police Department, please contact Captain Nate Conley or Detective Rocky Hanni to schedule an appointment.

Chaplains

The law enforcement chaplain offers support to law enforcement officers, administrators, support staff, victims, and their families. The chaplain responds to unique needs and challenges with religious guidance, reassuring and trustworthy presence, resources, and counseling services.
