About the Commission

The City's Historic Preservation Commission is charged with identifying and promoting preservation of the community's historic resources. (CMC 19.22)

The Cheney Historic Preservation Commission is a Certified Local Government (CLG), maintaining a local Register of Historic Places, and recommending properties for listing on the Washington Heritage Register and the National Register of Historic Places.

Commission Vacancy

The City of Cheney is seeking to fill one vacancy on the Historic Preservation Commission. Serving on a city board or commission affords citizens the opportunity to participate in the citywide effort to address important issues.
