Dumpster Drop-Off

To encourage residents in their spring cleaning efforts, a drop-off site will be available for free disposal of household garbage, construction debris and fencing, and metals, such as barbecues, bike frames, etc. (but no furniture, please!)

Open to Residents


The drop-off site is open to residents of the Cheney utilities service area. You will need to provide proof of residency, such as a copy of your utility bill, to use this service. 

Hours & Location
  • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Clean Sweep Saturday only
  • Behind the Cheney Utility Building, 112 Anderson Road, on Clean Sweep Saturday only

Tire & Battery Drop-Off


Unwanted, unmounted tires may be dropped off for free recycling at Les Schwab Tire Center, 7 Spokane Street, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Limit of 4 tires per person, please.

This service is available on Clean Sweep Saturday only.

  • Mounted tires will be accepted for just $4 apiece for passenger and light truck tires, $12 for mounted truck tires. Limit: 4 tires per person, please.
  • Unmounted farm tires will be accepted for $8 to $20 apiece depending on tire size, and mounted tires will be priced depending on size.
