The Recycling Center is currently open Tuesday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m - 11 a.m., but will stay open until 12:00 noon on Clean Sweep Saturday, April 15, 2023, only.

The yard waste bins are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, from approximately March through November, for disposal of 'clean green' materials ONLY.  (No rocks, soil, garbage, plastic bags, etc.)  Limbs and branches should be no more than 4' in length, and 4" in diameter.

Cheney is a participating member of the Spokane County Regional Solid Waste System. Membership benefits are extended to City of Cheney residents and include valuable resources such as free recycling drop off and free hazardous waste drop off at Spokane County regional Solid Waste System Disposal Locations. Cheney residents unable to make it to Cheney’s Recycling Center during normal hours of operation are encouraged to take advantage of these additional drop off locations.
