Cheney Municipal Code Chapter 17.08, Foreclosure Registration Program, as established by Ordinance X-37, requires registration and maintenance of foreclosed properties in order to protect the city of Cheney from deterioration, crime, and decline in property value caused by properties in the foreclosure process. 

The City of Cheney requires the lender or other responsible party(ies) in the foreclosure process to register such properties with the City to protect our neighborhoods from any negative impacts of absentee ownership including lack of adequate maintenance and security.
