Ordinances

1.

23-027 - Ordinance Y-41 - Comprehensive Plan & Zoning Map Amendment

On February 28, 2022 City Council deferred action on Ordinance Y-41 to request more information.  On March 14, 2023, City Council was presented information about relocation options and assistance. Ordinance Y-41 proposes to amend the Comprehensive Plan (land use map) and the Zoning Map for the land located between Bi-Mart and Grocery Outlet on SR-904. The proposed change is from commercial to Mixed Use (on the west side of the creek), and to Residential (R-3H) on the east side of the creek. Planning Commission heard this application on February 13, 2023 and recommended approval.  There were concerns regarding the loss of low-income housing.

2.

23-040 - Ordinance Y-44 - Drive-Throughs in C1-Zones

We have a request from a property owner to allow for a drive-thru located on a piece of property in the C-1 Zone downtown.  Staff has created an ordinance to amend the text of CMC 21.32.040 to permit drive-throughs on corner lots that are located off of an alley.
