1.

18-106 - Resolution E-659 - 2018 Transformer Purchase

The Light Department issued an invitation to bid for the purchase of transformers. Staff requests authorization to purchase the transformers from the lowest bidder for each size transformer.

18-107 - Resolution E-660 - 2018 Sidewalk Project Appropriation Increase

The City Council authorized the Mayor to sign a contract with Five Star Concrete on 5/22/18 for the 2018 Sidewalk Project.  Original appropriation was $44,200.00 including 10% for contingencies. Five Star completed added work for the water department in the amount of $10,425.00.  The completed amount is $50,525.00.The project exceeded the original appropriation amount by $6,325.00. Staff requests an increase of the appropriation amount by $ 6,325.00.

18-108 - Resolution E-661 - PWTF Application for WWTP Lift Pump Replacement Project

Public Works Trust Fund has open loan applications for emergency construction projects. $ 5 Million in loans are available under this program with  up to $ 1 Million available per jurisdiction.  City Staff is proposing to submit an application for project expenses for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Lift Pump Replacement Project.

18-109 - Resolution E-662 - WW Lift Pump Replacement Project

The Lift Pump Replacement Project includes the replacement of two original 1994 screw lifts at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The Public Works Department requested bids for the 2018 WW Lift Pump Replacement Project.  We received two bids with Evoqua Water Technologies submitting the lowest bid for $ 653,022.00 plus taxes.

18-110 - Resolution E-663 - 2018 Firewall Replacement Project

The City has an immediate need to replace the existing server firewall hardware. The replacement means we can upgrade to a firewall that will continue to protect our existing data and e-mail as well as be utilized to provide web content filtering and unified threat management. Both new features are critical to continue to protect the City network infrastructure from outside penetration. The proposed cost includes 2 firewalls in addition to the project engineering and management.

18-111 - Resolution E-664 - Land Lease Agreement 50 Acre Park

Approximately 32 acres on the 50 Acre Park has been leased for farming purposes since 2013.  The proposed lease agreement is renewing another 5 year term.

18-112 - Resolution E-665 - Before and After School Program Agreement

Resolution E-665 would authorize the Mayor to sign an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with Cheney Public Schools for a Before and After-School Program at Windsor and Snowdon Elementary Schools throughout the 2018-19 school year.

18-113 - Resolution E-666 - Trailblazers After-School Program Agreement

Resolution E-666 would authorize the Mayor to sign an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with Cheney Public Schools for a Trailblazers After-School Program at Betz Elementary School throughout the 2018-19 school year.

18-114 - Resolution E-667 - EWU Football Games Emergency Medical Standby Agreement

Resolution E-667 would authorize the Mayor to sign an Agreement for emergency medical service standby with Eastern Washington University, such service to be provided during 2018 football home games.
