A resolution of the City Council of the City of Cheney, Washington, authorizing the city to sign documents amending 457(b) deferred compensation plans to address the passage of the SECURE ACT 2.0 of 2022

The City received the attached lodging tax application for Holiday Hoopla to be held in Cheney 12/1/23 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.   Recommendation from Lodging Tax Committee is approval at $12,600.   

The City provided refuse services to DNR and emergency responders from various agencies that were mobilized within the City of Cheney in response to the Gray Road Fire. An Emergency Facilities LUA between the City and DNR is required for DNR to reimburse the City for services rendered.

The Mayor approved a small contract in the amount of $ 6,893.42 with Diamond Asphalt Paving on 6/12/2023 for the 2023 Asphalt Repairs Project. Change Order #1 in the amount of $ 2,596.67 was approved on 7/6/2023, increasing the contract amount to $ 9,490.09. Staff is requesting an appropriation increase of $ 20,000.00 to complete additional asphalt repairs, increasing the total contract appropriation to $29,500.00 including tax.
