May I have an outdoor fire?

Cheney residents are allowed to burn only in manufactured portable outdoor devices, such as barbecues, patio heaters, fireplaces, and chimineas, and only when there is no burning ban. Approved fuels are clean and dry seasoned firewood, charcoal, natural gas, or propane gas. Not allowed are any outdoor fires without a chimney and spark arrester, such as in a backyard fire pit or campfire. Any open burning of yard and garden debris is prohibited.  Please see the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency for current outdoor burning conditions.
